Sanskrit (संस्कृतम् )

What is Sanskrit?

Sanskrit is not only a language, but also a ‘संस्कार’, literally means something that is organised. Sanskrit is the dominant classical language of the Indian subcontinent and one of the 22 official languages of India. It is also the liturgical language of Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. It is also known as "the mother of all languages’.

Why Sanskrit?

  1. Sanskrit is the only tool which makes fingers and tongue flexible respectively.
  2. Sanskrit is not only a mere language, but Sanskrit is a thought, Sanskrit is a culture, Sanskrit is a sacrament, Sanskrit is the welfare of the world
  3. A report by NASA scientists says the creation of 6th and 7th generation super computers is based on Sanskrit language. This will probably lead to revolutionize language all over the world for learning Sanskrit.
  4. It is said that the Arabic language is spoken by the throat and English is spoken only by the lips, but in Sanskrit, the alphabet is divided into kavarg, chavarg, tavarg, tavarg, pavarg and hot sections based on the sound of vowels.
  1. UNESCO has also decided to add Sanskrit Vedic Chanting to its list of intangible cultural heritage of humanity. UNESCO has observed that Vedic chanting in Sanskrit language has a profound effect on human mind, body and soul.
  2. In Sanskrit sentences words can be placed in any order. With this there is little or no possibility of meaning being lost. This happens because all words are according to inflection and utterance. For example, अहं गृहं गच्छामि or गच्छामि गृहं अहं both are right
  3. Sanskrit language has the highest number of synonyms of any word. Like there are more than 100 synonyms in Sanskrit for the word elephant.

Is Sanskrit easy?????

Yes, Sanskrit is easy. Sanskrit is the most systematic and scientific language, therefore if anyone follows the rules of Sanskrit appropriately, then individual can easily learn Sanskrit.

Lets see an example: 

In English– The boy is drinking water. The sentence is correct but drinking is the boy water or boy the drinking is water is incorrect.

In Sanskrit– बालकः जलम् पिबति । this is correct but पिबति बालकः जलम् or जलम् पिबति बालकः – these are correct as well.
