German (Deutsch ) is among the ten most commonly spoken languages in the world with almost 120 million speakers in Europe itself. German or Deutsch is increasingly being taught in Indian schools and universities. There has been a heightened increase in Germany as a higher education hub for students as the country is known for its engineering disciplines and STEM education. 

Learning German isn’t exceptionally troublesome, and an understudy can go from A1 to B1 level in a brief time of 3 – 5 months with enough effort.

As per CEFR, there are 6 levels in German language.

  • A1&A2(Beginner levels

The A levels (A1 and A2) enable the learners to express themselves in situations concerning daily life including basic grammar, basic reading, listening, and speaking skills. For international education, A1 and A2 levels are a must as a base for the aspirant

  • B1 &B2 (Intermediate levels)

The B levels (B1 and B2) able to consolidate the grammar, in-depth vocabulary, and command over reading writing and discussions related to work scenarios.

  • C1 &C2 (advanced levels).

By the end of C1 and C2 levels, one is fluent in the language in all ways.

The proficiency tests for German language is designated as “Goethe-Zertifikat”. These tests are open tests and their results don’t lapse, which implies they are substantial for life. These exams are conducted by Goethe Institute (Max-Muller Bhavan) as a team with other significant instructive foundations arranged in Germany.
